IN STOCK ITEMS - (not created as a custom made-to-order item) may be returned for a refund, credit or exchange within five (5) days of receipt. Must be unworn and returned in the original packaging with original stones in place and any accompanying certificates. If it had been altered by another jeweler it may not be returned. All returns must be sent back insured and with recipient signature required. Original shipping charges are not refundable. Restocking fee will be deducted from the refundable amount (15% for items less than $500. Flat fee of $75.00 per item if over $500.). Contact us here within 5 days of receipt for more details. We recommend that you (1) use a carrier that offers shipment tracking (2) either insure your package for safe return to BMJNY or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you choose not to, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
Earrings are final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned for sanitary reasons. All exchanges/returns require a Return Authorization number.
CUSTOM ORDERS - Barbara Michelle Jacobs ("BMJNYC") does not offer refunds or exchanges for Special Order items which are hand crafted specifically for you, therefore not produced beforehand. Raw materials are purchased for each custom order and great care is taken to make everything as requested. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at time of purchase, balance due before shipping. We guarantee that the item will match the agreed upon description. PLEASE double check ring size before ordering. There is a resizing charge of 80.00 plus shipping on most rings. Some rings, with stones set set all the way around the band, cannot be resized. Each custom piece is photographed during an extensive quality control procedure before shipping. Please note that handmade jewelry does vary ever so slightly from piece to piece, due to its handmade nature, making each truly one of a kind.
If you receive an item that is not to your satisfaction contact us immediately. We will work with you to correct the situation repairing or altering the item. If there was an oversight in manufacturing, revisions are made at no charge. If the slip was due to customer error, any additional charges will be fair and reasonable. Every effort will be made so you will be happy with your purchase.
